Devil's Lapstone

So the tale goes (or one of them, as there's a few different versions) that the devil was so jealous of Durham Cathedral being built that he tried to sabotage its construction by dropping a huge boulder upon it. He lost his grip on the unwieldy rock and its lived in Castle Eden Dene ever since.
